Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 May 2026
Text Toolkit (“we”, “us”) operates the website textops.io. This policy explains what limited information is collected when you use the site, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
Summary
- No account is required. You can use every tool without signing up, logging in, or providing any personal information.
- Your text never leaves your browser. All counting, conversion, and analysis runs locally in JavaScript on your device. We do not see, store, or transmit the text you paste.
- We use Google AdSense. Advertising cookies are set by Google to serve and measure ads. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland a consent banner asks before personalised ads are served.
- We use privacy-friendly analytics. Plausible Analytics collects aggregated, cookieless page-view statistics. No individual users are tracked across sites.
Information we collect
Text you enter
Text you paste or type into a tool is processed entirely in your browser. It is not transmitted to our servers. To preserve your work across tool switches and browser sessions, the text is stored locally in your browser’s localStorage. You can clear it at any time by emptying the input box or clearing site data in your browser settings.
Usage data (analytics)
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. Plausible records aggregated information such as page URL, referrer, device type, operating system, browser, and country (derived from IP and then discarded). No individual user profile is ever created.
Advertising data
We display ads via Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies and use device identifiers to serve and measure ads, prevent fraud, and (with consent where required) personalise ads based on your interests. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time by visiting Google’s Ads Settings, and you can opt out of third-party cookie use for personalisation at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
Visitors from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland are shown a consent banner powered by Google’s Funding Choices consent management platform. Personalised advertising and certain advertising cookies are only used after you grant consent. You can change your choice at any time using the “Privacy options” control that Funding Choices makes available on the page.
Server logs
Like nearly every site on the web, our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps short-lived request logs that include IP address, user agent, and the URL requested. These are used for operational and security purposes (e.g. blocking abusive traffic) and are not used to build profiles of individual visitors.
How we use information
- To operate and maintain the website.
- To understand which tools are used most, so we can improve them (via Plausible).
- To serve advertising that helps fund the site (via Google AdSense).
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security issues.
Cookies and local storage
Cookies and similar technologies used on this site fall into three categories:
- Strictly necessary: a small amount of
localStorageused to remember the text you have entered and your theme preference. No cookies are involved. - Analytics: none. Plausible operates without cookies.
- Advertising: cookies set by Google AdSense and its partners. In the EEA/UK/Switzerland these are only set after consent.

Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights regarding personal data we hold about you: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability. Because we do not require an account and the text you enter never reaches our servers, in practice these rights are exercised through:
- Clearing site data in your browser to remove all locally stored information.
- Adjusting your consent choice via the Funding Choices control to opt out of personalised ads.
- Visiting Google’s Ads Settings to manage advertising preferences.
- Contacting us at alexgray34@protonmail.com with any request relating to your data.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
We do not sell personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act. California residents may exercise rights of access and deletion by contacting us at alexgray34@protonmail.com.
Children’s privacy
Text Toolkit is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
International data transfers
Our site is hosted on Vercel’s global edge network and uses third-party services (Google, Plausible) that may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, these providers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
